What licence do I need?
Before starting your training course, you need to ensure that you have provisional entitlement for Category C. To obtain a provisional licence, you need to complete a D2 and D4 form. The D4 part of the form will need to be completed by a doctor.

How long will it take me to pass?
Our standard courses include 16 hours of driving spread over five days with the test on day five. We have tailored our courses to give you the maximum support throughout the five days.
What do I need before I book with you?
Once you have your provisional licence, you will need to book and pass your theory test – multiple choice and hazard perception. You will need to bring your theory test certificate with you on Day 1 so that we can use the certificate number to book your practical tests. Do you train on test routes?
Yes, our routes will cover test routes starting and ending in Gillingham.
Do you cover any other test areas?
No, we are based in Gillingham and use the Gillingham LGV Test Centre in the Gillingham Business Park.
Do you include the CPC Module 4 within the course price?
Yes we do, however if you have not passed CPC Module 2, we can hold this back until have passed it. Once you have passed Module 2 at the theory test centre, if CPC Module 4 is not needed, we will convert this time to driving hours.
Do you use the same truck for the whole course?
Yes, we keep the same vehicle for the duration of the course. The only time we would change the vehicle is in case of breakdowns but in these circumstances we would try to ensure that the same vehicle is available during your entire course.
Do I have different instructors teach me?
You will meet your instructor at the start of your course, they will be available during your whole course and will provide one-to-one training throughout the 5 days.
Where do I meet you?
We will meet you at a designated area in Gillingham Business Park so that time is not wasted going to and from site. This ensures the maximum amount of time on test routes.
How much can a Class 2 Driver be expected to earn?
Each Class 2 driving role is different. It can depend on the company that you are working for and the hours that you are working. Find out more about average salaries for Class 2 Drivers and examples of some companies and their salaries.
How many hours can I be expected to work in the haulage industry?
As an HGV Driver, there is a daily driving limit of 10 hours in a day. You must not drive for longer than 10 hours a day on a public road or off-road if not during daily driving time. Yes. We now offer online CPC Courses which can be conducted in the evening. These are conducted using Teams or Zoom and are interactive courses with experienced instructors. You can find out more information here.
